Engine Shop History & Accomplishments

RSR Racing has successfully completed hundreds of engine projects for the automotive, competition and marine markets around the world. From carbureted to fuel injected, overhead cam to pushrod, normally aspirated to supercharged, RSR Racing has succeeded in every possible focus.

Tony Gentilozzi is the head engine-builder for RSR Racing. Since 1994, every engine that the team has raced has been built in-house by him and his staff. A variety of engines has been used, which include Ford, Chevy, Chrysler, Oldsmobile Mercedes, BMW, Ferrari, Aston Martin and Jaguar.


  • 1997 Oldsmobile Aurora Indianapolis 500 engine, qualified on the front row in the famed race.
  •  2002 24 Hours of Daytona GTS class win with a Ford Engine in a Jaguar XKR.
  •  2004 Jaguar production-based AJ-33 race engine. Captured four wins and twelve poles in its first two seasons. 
  •  7 Trans-Am Championships

  • 2008 Set Jaguar production car speed record at 225.675 mph using a 2010 modified prototype Jaguar XFR and the AJ-133 engine at the Bonneville Salt Flats.
  •  2009 Created a bespoke billet directed injected Jaguar TG134 5.0 liter race engine for factory based Jaguar GT2 LeMans sportscar
  •  2010 Developed a supercharged variant of the TG 134
  •  2011-2015 Competed in the IMSA PC category as the driver change mechanic.
